This is what I wanna name my blog before...yeah yeah yeah it sounds like I wanna rant like hell before then suddenly I "matured" into a beautiful flower and blah blah blah.. nah this didn't materialize so Pinay Commuter it is hahha. Anywhoooooo, yes im still alive people! Will be updating soon!! A lot has happened and im so excited to blog again!

From the Airport look for your airline and get checked-in. We booked in Cebu Pacific (yay for seat sales!) after checking-in you will have to pay for the Travel Tax (1,620Php) then go back to where you checked-in your bags then you can proceed to where you're gonna pay for the Terminal Fee (750Php). That's 2,370Php Hooray.

Before you can go to your terminal they will check your hand carry, everything and you have to take off you shoes.

After 1.5 hours..

Welcome to Hong Kong! Yay!

Before you got out of the plane the flight attendants will give you Immigration Forms so always carry a pen.

Take the Airport train to Immigration.

Make sure that you have at least 250hkd when you land for your transportation. In our case we bought the MTR Card 3 days unlimited train ride with 1 way Airport Express to Hong Kong Island. I forgot how much exactly but I think its 200hkd.

MTR Route - I love the Hong Kong railway system. So organized. Very easy to follow.

Next Stop - Sheung Wan Station

Our check-in time is 1pm so we decided to grab lunch in a nearby resto.

Almost every restaurant that we went into have an english menu so don't worry.

Prepare at least 20-40 hkd/person/meal.

We stayed at Mingle on the Wing. Around 600-700 hkd.

There's a lot of cheaper hotel but I think of all the hotels that I looked at this is actually cleaner and it doesnt look like a budget hotel.

Interiors are pretty modern. Flatscreen TV with free movies, radio(worldwide) and even porn (lol).

After we checked-in we roam around the streets of Hong Kong!

Then roam around again til our feet cried.

Banak House, Calatagan

The road to Banak house is not very easy to find(even with the map that's given by the owner's secretary). If you're a little bit unsure on how to get there you could stop by the wet market(theres two on the way) and ask around for the Diaz Residence (they're pretty known around the area). Anyways you have to make a stop there to buy everything that you need in the beach house i.e. water, meat, coals for grilling, booze :)

The second you get in to that blue gate, you'll be greeted with a warm smile by Mrs. Mattie and her family. Their family looks after the house, her husband is a fisherman and you can buy their fresh catch if you guys decided to check in early. The minute you settled into your rooms they'll ask you if you want a bonfire to be set up for 500php and you can decide if you want one huge bonfire or they can make 2 smaller ones and it will last for3-4 hours.

If you're going there to swim..umm not a good idea, yes its a beachfront I know but when we went there around January its low tide until around afternoon you cant swim at all. Around night time the water is really near the house but you can't risk swimming in the dark but if that's your thing no ones gonna stop you, or save you for that matter. No lifeguard or whatsoever so you got to be responsible for yourself.

BUT if you're going there to relax, marvel at the sunset, walk along the shoreline, take pictures, hang out and drink around the bonfire then this really is the place for you!

We had such a great time here and the long travel time is so worth it.

• The rent is 11,000 + 3,000 insurance (refundable)
• Overnight Stays - Check-in time(they're not really strict) Check-out is 3pm
• Maximum Number of Persons Allowed including the help/driver is 15
• Kitchen Utensil, Plates is available in the house but spoon and forks, cups you have to bring.

• Water Dispenser and Refrigerator is available
• Only one bedroom has an A/C and thats the blue cottage
• There's a covered garage
• Nearby sari-sari store or water station - I suggest you buy EVERYTHING in the market.

Everyday Commute

My everyday commute is this:

• TRICYCLE(about 10 minutes)
• BUS(about 1hour and 20 minutes)
• TAXI(about 30 to 1hour depending on traffic)

Oh did I mention I have to wait for a tricycle for about 10-30 minutes when im on a nightshift?and I have to elbow everyone just to get on that ORDINARY(no aircon) bus?Why ordinary bus? coz its very rare that an air conditioned comes along and sweep me off my feet.Im constantly praying that when a bus comes along, please please please dont let it be a “Saint Rose” bus.I call that bus the ultimate “killer bus”. Just this month or last month or whatever, they have accidents 2 times already.No wonder they call their bus Saint Rose, coz you have to pray for the saints when you get on it.But when an airconditioned Dela Rosa Transit comes by I can hear the Halleluiah Chorus.

Why dont you just take a cab from your house?

Oh did I mention im from Valenzuela City and im working at Eastwood City?

Geez my way to work is a work itself. Just kill me already.

When you walk -in to the resto you’d be given a menu andyou’ll circle your order then give it to the cashier.

Whats great about Amici is that they have this area where you can get everything by yourself
i.e. utensils, condiments,glasses and a pitcher of free water with a freezer full of ice!

Good thing is they have a shuttle so no worries!

Then on our way back to Manila we saw this "Bahay na Pula"(The Red House) in San Idelfonso.

If you want to go here make sure youre brave enough coz theres NO electricity here.

By the way, someone showed me around. His name is Don, when we went there on our way back to manila we saw this bunch of people so we asked them if theyre the owners and it turned out that their filming something inside(yikes) for their thesis. theyre from UST(advertising students-hahah what a coincidence) and Don is kind enough to show me around and tell me the history of this mansion.
